How the Programs Work
Learn more about how a lease on a Dauntless Hangar works.
Dauntless has agreed to a land lease from your airport authority to acquire the land on which your new hangar will rest. That lease is passed on to you when you purchase your hangar.
The lease is for forty-five years. During this time, you may occupy the hangar, rent it, sell it (both with the approval of your airport authority) or otherwise use it in any way consistent with the rules of your airport authority and regulating agencies.
If you wish to finance the purchase of your bird’s new home, you may use a lending institution familiar to you or use one now working with Dauntless Aviation Hangars, XYZ. They are acquainted with the program of airport land leases and the construction, use, and re-sale of aircraft hangars.
At the end of forty-five years, the land, and all items constructed on it, revert to the airport. They may rent it back to you or to anyone to whom you sold the hangar.
